Help Reuben

Shiners we need your help big time...
this is Reuben, a local Manly boy - 11 years old and a promising Judo athlete. At the end of last year was shockingly diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. As you can imagine this bolt out of the blue has shaken Reuben's family to the core. Reuben is from Ireland and moved to NZ with his parents and 3 siblings 3 years ago - meaning they have NO FAMILY SUPPORT HERE IN NZ. Since the diagnosis, his mum Gwen (a neonatal nurse) had to stop work to care for Reuben full-time. Going down to one income left Reuben's dad Robin working 7 days a week to make ends meet. Reuben's immunity is so low a cold/flu could kill him - this means that the family are having to isolate themselves to protect Reuben... The family are naturally stressed, worried and exhausted. Of course Gwen still needs to be a mum to the other 3 kids and meet their needs, as well as manage all the hospital visits and treatments for Reuben. He is one sick little boy and has at least 3 years of treatment to face!!! Its so unfair ;-( Reuben hasn't been able to go to school, see his friends, do Judo or partake in anything kids love doing and the family are in deserate need of some support... SO LET'S HELP SUPPORT THE FAMILY AND BRING SOME RELIEF - WHO's WITH US??? The family need NZ$4649 to fly REUBEN's nana Caroline out from Ireland - she's currently applying for an extension on her visa on compassionate grounds so she can stay as long as possible... We also want to raise an extra $1000 as a buffer to additional costs when nana is here. Let's do this ladies .... We can't help everybody, but everybody can help someONE XX...
