Hi! My name is Amber and I’m the manager of our Mt Roskill store. In the beginning of 2019 we moved our family to New Zealand from California, enabled by my Kiwi-American husband who got a job in Auckland. We have not looked back and have loved putting roots down here. 

In California, I managed several retail stores as well as an art school. I also worked as a birth assistant, and as a fashion stylist for a San Francisco tech company. What do these all have in common? I love supporting women and helping people express themselves! My favourite thing about styling is going on life’s journey with my clients. I have seen clients through their wedding, to the birth of their first child and beyond. I absolutely love helping women feel confident no matter what stage of life they were in and believe with my whole being that women are stronger together.

When we first moved, I knew I wanted to be intentional with my job search and find a company that I believed in. As soon as I was introduced to Shine On I knew I had found a company that aligned perfectly with my values. Ladies! Let me say that everything they say they stand for it absolutely walked out in every aspect of how the business is run on a daily basis and I could not be prouder to serve our Auckland clients for such a wonderful company! 

When I’m not in the shop, I’m usually with my husband and our two little girls (6,9). I also love hiking, podcasts, sushi, and songwriting. My current favourites in the store include our Ecoya line, Sass, and Leoni! I look forward to seeing you at Mt Roskill!
