A lot of the Shine On team are parents, aunts, grandparents themselves – we 100% know the pain of shopping for kids and having them reject your best efforts.

One thing we’ve noticed is gender-specific clothing doesn’t really exist for some kids, so we make sure our range includes some pink and blue – but we select a lot of gender neutral kids clothing that’s more focused on being functional, stylish and wears really well.

We are also always working on trying to find great clothing for the older kids (why is it so hard to find great clothes for 8-14?!!), so watch this space! 

Most people buying for kids will know the frustration of clothes shopping and coming up short – either the kids don’t like the clothes, you don’t like the clothes, the sizing is completely out. We have a 10-day return policy, so as long as clothing comes back to use with tags intact, unworn and within 10 days, we’ll give you a credit note.

But we’ve found kids actually really enjoy picking their own clothes from the Shine On website or app, so don’t be afraid to get them involved! We’ve got an awesome range of tops, bottoms, jackets, shoes, hats and accessories online right now.

Plus if you purchase Radicool, Band of Boys or Hello Stranger, you’ll be supporting local businesses as these brands are all designed right here in NZ.
